Million Dollar Hotel, The

USA 1999, 117 minutes
Dir. Wim Wenders
Rating: [M]
Genres: Drama, Suspense/Crime

Aroview: Dir. Wim Wenders (WINGS OF DESIRE) works-up his latest narrative of modern alienation in the scuzzy, titular hotel (which actually exists in L.A.), home for various fringe-types and recluses.

The script, written by rock-group U2's Bono, has paranoid FBI-man Mel Gibson roaming the corridors investigating a fatal fall from the rooftop, while the mini-dramas of skateboarder Jeremy Davies, layabout Milla Jovovich, paranoid Jimmy Smits and Beatles nut Peter Stomare fizzle away in the background.
