Phantoms

Aroview: Dropping in on a remote town with no apparent inhabitants, babe sisters Joanna Going and Rose McGowan find themselves on the sinister skids.

Ben Affleck and Liev Shreiber lend assistance/dread, while Peter O'Toole turns up as a paranormal cronie. Tightly scripted by Dean Koontz (based on his novel), the ambitious, metaphysical themes wind up all rather too neatly in the final reel, but impressively dense sound effects and straight-faced, fashionable cast make this one to see, especially with the lights out.
