Port of Call

Aroview: In this early Bergman film, a young woman is driven to the brink of suicide by her experiences in a reformatory school. After she is rescued by a young man, the two begin a romance, but his own internalised prejudices become a roadblock. An indictment of the harm done to young people, particularly women, by society's attempts to mould them.
