Aroview: The most expensive Danish TV series made to date, this lavish historical war drama is based on two books by Tom Buk-Swienty about the Second Schleswig War of 1864.

Fought between Denmark and an alliance of Prussia and Austria, it ended with the defeat of Denmark and the loss of a quarter of it's territory to Prussia. The horrors of combat are detailed from the perspectives of two brothers from a remote village on on Danish island of Funen, who enlist in the Danish army shortly before the outbreak of the war. Historical figures including Danish prime minister D. G. Monrad and Prussian prime minister Otto von Bismarck are included in the narrative. A highly ambitious and engrossing military epic.
