“A heart-wrencher about the clash between economics and ethics. Its story sounds like the sort of dry news blurb you'd skim over in the Sunday paper but unfolds into an epic tragedy. ”~Village Voice

Aroview: The burden of compassion is at the heart of this story of Jay Reinke, a church Pastor who runs the "overnighters" program in the oil pipeline boomtown of Williston, North Dakota, where broken, desperate men arrive to take shelter to find spiritual or financial reprieve, and reconnect with society.

But best intentions and his enormous capacity for tolerance put him at odds with the wider community unhappy with the influx of troubled men in their "backyard", not to mention his personal sacrifice as a family man, and the pressures mount before something has to give. An eye-opener into many facets of blue-collar America that paints Christian ideals in a refreshing light.
