“It's knowing and it's funny, and Coogan's persona remains... perfectly realised.”~Guardian

Aroview: Steve Coogan's bumbling DJ from his popular 90's TV show gets a big screen outing with this belly-aching farce situated around a corporate takeover of Alan Partridge's radio station.

Coogan's mercilessly self-interested alter-ego takes no prisoners when he and his stodgy old guard are threatened with redundancy by the vapid new blood - his aging Irish sidekick (Colm Meaney) articulating similar indignation with a shotgun. Fans of Coogan and those of his generation will snigger with recognition all the way and then collapse in stitches in acknowledgment of what is surely the greatest penis joke ever committed to film.
