Aroview: Alec Baldwin's sole directorial outing is something of a misfire, with Baldwin as a struggling author who's Faustian bargaining is his undoing.

This ill-fated remake of the William Dieterle classic languished on the studio shelves for years before a very limited release, its not quite as bad as you might expect, but Love Hewitt in the Walter Huston role is fatal piece of casting.
