Aroview: Big-screen debut of America’s yellowiest suburban family, with Homer inadvertently causing an ecological meltdown that threatens Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and the whole Springfield gang.

Rumours abounded for years that America’s longest running (and arguably greatest) TV show would get the feature length treatment, and while it may be a few years too late, it’s still a case of better late than never. Plenty of wacky postmodern laughs and parodies, alongside some of more inventive Homer-in-pain scenes ever devised, make sure the Matt Groening creations remain among the most intelligent and indelible comedy around.
