Aroview: Earnest biopic based on the life and writings of rags-to-riches New Age author Neal Donald Walsch, whose searching questions were, to his astonishment, answered by God.

Played with some certainty by Henry Czerny, Walsch apparently once ate from trash-cans, but now describes himself as an “accidental spiritual messenger”. Rather than focus on that compelling aspect of Walsch’s personality (his ambition, his U-turn after bottoming out) most of this adaptation plays towards the Dr. Phil-esque maxims – presumably taken straight from the text? – of Walsch’s writings.
