Aroview: Faithful and reasonably stylish BBC adaptation of George Eliot's final novel, in which the titular young man (Dancy), an orphan raised by a guardian (Fox), struggles through the Victorian mores of London, eventually having to decide between the two loves of his life and also face his Jewish heritage.

The subtle but powerful themes about moral choice and personal integrity, which underlie Eliot's novel, are revealed with unfussy skill, while the costumes and production are up to the best bodice-ripping standards.
