Five Children and It

Aroview: A fond adaptation of the E. Nesbit novel in which a group of children are befriended by a disenchanted green 'sand fairy' called 'It' (voiced by Eddie Izzard).

Set in WW1, the children are esconsed at their uncle's seaside house, where 'It' agrees to grant them one magical wish a day, whose effect fades at sunset in the service of a greater moral lesson. Filled with odd beings and effects, courtesy of Jim Henson's 'Creature Shop', this is enthralling enough viewing for younger audiences.
