Bear Named Winnie, A

Canada 2004, 86 minutes
Dir. John Kent Harrison
Rating: [PG]
Genres: Television, Family, Drama

Topics: Period - 1910s, Animal Antics.

Aroview: Interesting telemovie based on the true story of a Canadian black bear cub who was 'adopted' by a soldier in 1914, eventually placed in the London zoo and becoming the inspiration for A.A. Milne, when he wrote the 'Winnie the Pooh' tales. Reasonably well-made, this has a simplicity that may well touch your heart-strings.
