As Tears Go By

Aroview: Dir. Wong Kar-Wai debuted with this ambitious remake of MEAN STREETS, where best buddies Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung struggle through the ganglands of Hong Kong. Though filled with some pretty crummy pop music, this is staged and shot with a certain flare, clearly marking a talent on the rise.
